Here is a "copy -pasted" version of the script. It is about an Anthology who feels very emotional about a student not using him but instead an online source such as sparknotes. - Inspired by the poem by T.S Eliot - The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock
INT. STUDENT'S BEDROOM. DAY
The lighting has a yellowish tint. STUDENT's Alarm on his phone goes off. He is lying in bed, he wakes up, turns off the alarm and looks at the text messages on his phone. He also looks at the pictures of the night before and is ashamed by them. He can't decide if he should go back to sleep or do something else. He walks back and forth from his bed to the mirror.
STUDENT: (Regretfully)
Why did I do that ? "Sighs"
Student permanently gets up, tries to decide what to wear and approached the mirror. STUDENT : Your hair smells nice... Better than mine... Student paces STUDENT : Why would I tell her I have smelly hair ? Stupid !Does she even like me, am I presuming too much ?
Student paces around his room
STUDENT : What should I talk to her about ? The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel ? .. no thats stupid why would I talk about Michelangelo. I've never even been to Italy.
Student paces and is clearly stressed out
STUDENT : I'm not well traveled, I don't even have a passport. I have no experiences.
Student is getting upset with himself, he paces in-front of the mirror. He stops to look at himself.
STUDENT : You're useless !
He walks away from the mirror.
STUDENT : (Screams in frustration) Why am I so pathetic ? Maybe now's not the right time...Maybe il ask her out in a few months.
Students puts books and his laptop in his backpack. He takes his jacket and is about to leave. ANTHOLOGY clears his throat (it has a very deep "manly" voice with a European accent).
ANTHOLOGY:
Haehemmm
Student looks around confusingly. Anthology slides out from under Student's pile of clothing on his desk.
ANTHOLOGY: I think you forgot something !
Student takes a step back, very confused and shocked.
ANTHOLOGY: I've been sitting here for seven weeks and have yet to be touched. Is there something wrong with me ?
Student is very confused. He looks around thinking he is hallucinating.
STUDENT : umm...
ANTHOLOGY: Why haven't you touched me yet ? Is it my figure ? Am I too thick, too daunting ?
Anthology starts crying
ANTHOLOGY: Look what you made me do, doubting myself, hearing you moan all the time is starting to rub off on me.
Students backs up from his room and quickly walks out.
ANTHOLOGY: Where do you think your going ?
Anthology chases Student out of his room.
INT. STUDENT'S APARTMENT
STUDENT picks up his pace, he is being chased by ANTHOLOGY.
ANTHOLOGY: Take me with you !
STUDENT :
No!
Student grabs his shoes, goes out the door, slamming it shut without putting his shoes on.
INT. STUDENT'S APARTMENT NIGHT
STUDENT slowly opens his front door and sticks his head into the apartment to see if the "coast is clear". He is holding a lot of cookies in his hand. He steps into his apartment and closes the door slowly and as quiet as possible behind him. He looks around, takes off his shoes and "tip toes" towards his room and peers into it. It looks like just the way he left it.He enters.
INT. STUDENT'S BEDROOM. NIGHT
STUDENT quietly puts his school bag on the floor and quickly takes off all of the clothing off of his desk. ANTHOLOGY, along with other books are sitting on his desk. STUDENT : (Sighs) good.
Students puts his hand over his heart.
STUDENT : (Reassuringly) good.... Ok
He picks up the anthology and the rest of the contents of his desks and puts them on his dresser thats behind his desk. He sits down at his desk chair and takes out his laptop from his backpack. He opens it up and types in sparknotes and T.S Eliot into the search engine. Anthology moves behind student.
ANTHOLOGY: (Screams) You bastard ! A fidget spinner hits Student's head
STUDENT : Ouch !
Student turns around and Anthology jumps onto his face and starts attacking him. He manages to throw it onto the floor and knees on it to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. Student is panicked, he doesn't know what to do, he notices the window. He tries to get up while clutching the anthology but it gets away and slides out the door. Student first takes a binder to attack it with, but instead decides to take the blanket off of his bed to use instead. STUDENT : Where are you? I promise I won't hurt you.
ANTHOLOGY: (O.S) Yes you will! You hate the sight of me ! Student approaches the voice of the anthology and exits his room.
INT. STUDENT'S APARTMENT NIGHT
STUDENT holding a blanket up silently walks towards a direction to which he thinks the ANTHOLOGY is hiding.
STUDENT : What makes you say that ?
ANTHOLOGY: (O.S) You're cheating on me with a cheap...
Student approaches Anthology's possible hiding spot.
ANTHOLOGY: (Continued O.S) ...watered down version of the text ! How could you do that to me ?
Student is clearly confused. Student is close to the anthology. It jumps out at Student and tackles him once again.
ANTHOLOGY: Sparknotes you idiot! If you would have used me you would of come to that conclusion much quicker. You're not absorbing literature in it's pure form ! You're not using your brain!
Student ends up getting Anthology in his blanket.
ANTHOLOGY: (Screaming in a poetic voice) "And should I then presume ? And how should I begin?"
STUDENT :
Stop !
ANTHOLOGY: (Screaming ) Sounds familiar ?
Student throws anthology out the window. He walks back into his room.
INT. STUDENT'S BEDROOM. NIGHT
STUDENT looks at himself in the mirror but he can't do it. He is ashamed of himself. He looks out the window and sees the ANTHOLOGY. He takes a cookie and is about to eat it. STUDENT : I'm going to have to buy a new book. Hopefully the next one won't talk.
Student looks at his cookies
STUDENT : I don't deserve cookies.
Student throws out all of his cookies. THE END
